Catching up on videos...

It's been a rough day. It's always rough when your sweet baby is very sick. So today, I spent the day snuggling said little one. That's it. That is what I got done today. And you know what? It was wonderful. So as my mom put it, I "made a path through the mess" (ok, not really, I actually cleaned the house yesterday, it was just a few toys) and said good riddance to my chores. I snuggled my girl today. With that being said, now that daddy is home and having his turn at the snuggling, I am getting something done. That's right, I am updating the blog. And boy, this is a fun one. I have a bunch of videos from the past few weeks and they are awesome. Life in our family is never dull :)

This was Hailey's first real experience with frost. How sad is that? She is almost three, and just discovering it. Of course, this is the first time we have ever had grass, so it makes sense because we had nowhere to make these discoveries!

Hailey has had a few opportunities to see Santa already. Bass Pro Shops has an awesome display set up, and getting picture with Santa is free! They have different crafts and activities every week, so needless to say, we have spent a lot of time there. And she loves Santa this year! Although, she does not understand the whole North Pole thing... this child is very literal, so of course it only makes sense that he lives at Bass Pro Shops!

Again, at Bass Pro Shops. One of the activities they have is an archery corner, and Hailey has actually gotten very good at shooting the bow and arrow by herself! This is one of her first tries.

And, well, being spontaneously cute, as usual :)

I think she is a pretty smart girl!

A Sneaky Video...

I just had to share this really quick...its so cute. I had sent Hailey to wash her hands and face after dinner. A few minutes later, I realize Hailey is still in the bathroom, I never heard any water running, but was making quite a bit of noise. So I went to investigate, only to find Hailey doing what she does best, looking and playing with herself in the mirror :) Its not the greatest shot, but I was trying to be sneaky and not get caught!
I love this sweet girl!

Halloween 2012

Here are some photos of our October festivities!

Painting pumpkins.
I drew a face for Hailey to paint (which can barely be seen now)... apparently she is more of an abstract artist :)
LOVING her Belle costume!
Out trick or treating! She had SO much fun. She ran from house to house all night.
At our Ward Trunk or Treat. She kept saying, "Mom! Can you take a picture of me and this cute little ghost?"
Belle and Annie
All the princesses
Hanging out with Ryker
We love our little Belle!

Grandma Bockholt's Visit

Grandma Bockholt came for a visit (ok, I guess its been a month now, so I suppose I am a little behind!) We had a blast with her here, and got to go on many new adventures, including a trip to Nashville!  Here is a glimpse of her trip here!

Feeding the giraffes at the zoo! This was a super cool experience. We had Hailey go first, and after the first piece of lettuce she was done... wasn't a big fan of that big long tongue touching her hand!
And Grandma's face says it all here... she could not feed that thing fast enough and it just kept inching closer and closer!
Went to see the Peabody ducks again, and they gave Hailey a free duck master cookie
Mud Island, which is a 1/2 mile scale model of the Mississippi River... and Hailey walked the whole way, down and back (a total of a mile) in the water. And complained for the rest of the day, and the next, that her feet hurt :)
Terrible picture, but we got to eat at the Aquarium restaurant! It was so cool, you are surrounded by a 200,000 gallon aquarium.
The pumpkin patch! We got to go pick our own pumpkins this year.
On the hay ride... she kept saying "this is the best hay ride ever!"
Picking the perfect pumpkin!
On our weekend trip to Nashville. We ended up going on the weekend of a big celebration, so we got to go into the Parthenon for free!
Nashville, standing over the river
Hailey and her new monkey which Grandma helped her make. This thing has pretty much become the fourth member of our family and goes everywhere with us!
Yeah. Really?
The Grand Ole Opry!
