Because Rachel Won't Stop Bugging Me

This is going to be a brief post. Because Rachel won't quit bugging me about updating my blog. She acts like its been 5 months or something. Oh wait... it has. Well, one day, I will post more pictures of Hailey turning 3, Christmas, Jamie visiting, Grandma and Grandpa Higgins visiting, and all our other fun activities, but for today, this will have to do.

So here is a quick run down of what is going on with us: Hailey is beautiful. But that is nothing new. She is such a smart, talented girl. She knows all her letters, can identify them as well as write them, write her name, and so on. She is learning to recognize a few words. Still loves books, big shocker :) She loves to pick out her own clothes. Loves it. And although 9 out of 10 times its an outfit that is a little wild or unique, I just smile and let her do it. Why not let her be herself :) You will see this in a few of the pictures below. She sings all the time. Literally, ALL the time. Real songs, made up songs, songs about what's going on around her. She is just so fun. And she is excited to tell the world that she is going to be a big sister. Baby #2 is a boy! And Hailey has warmed up to the idea... weeks ago she told us that if it was a brother, she would cry. But I think she is more excited about it now because she points out everyone else's baby brothers wherever we go. Things are going better with the pregnancy, which reduces our stress levels a little bit after a couple of scares. We are so excited to have this new adventure and to add this baby boy to our family! Next week will be the six month mark... only 3 more to go! And for other exciting news, Blaine is finishing up his last semester of course work! After this, he will work on his dissertation. We are all pretty excited about that, and have a goal of being done with his PhD December 2014.

Ok, now for what you really came to see...

Fishing with some friends! Hailey loves to fish... but no one caught anything this time.

Enjoying daddy's day off at the zoo!

Planting her own little garden. She is so excited to watch her seeds grow!

Watching general conference. She actually did really well. She drew a picture of each person speaking, and then would listen for words that she knew, and I would write them on her paper for her. Then she would copy the words. Every time someone finished speaking, she would ask if it was President Monson's turn again.

Easter dress! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Higgins. She loves it.

This was the night Grandma and Grandpa got here. This is also supposed to be their bed. Apparently she got tired of waiting for them :) And once I get the pictures of that trip from my mama, I will post some of them!

Hailey helped build and paint a changing table for the new baby for Mommy's birthday. It turned out beautiful!

Riding the merry go round with Aunt Jamie. We had so much fun when she came!!
