Christmas Tree Shopping

This is the ONLY way to get a Christmas tree! Cutting down our own Christmas tree is a tradition we started the first year we were married, and we had so much fun we decided to do it every year! So after constructing a makeshift sled for Hailey (it may or may not be her baby bathtub), we bundled up and headed for the mountains! Upon arriving, we realized we were in for an adventure, because there was a ton of snow... we expected some, just not quite that much. We hiked for who knows how long (it felt like we went a long ways) through snow that was anywhere from knee to waist deep until we finally found that perfect tree, cut it down and brought it home! Although we could only use the sled part of the time and had to be carried through the snow a lot, she was a trooper! I think she had a little bit of fun :)

Baby Shoes

I have finally started making baby shoes... and they are turning out way cute. Here are a few samples that I have made this week, two pairs of boys and four pairs of girls. If you are interested or know anyone that might be, let me know! I am offering them for $12 a pair, or 2 pairs for $20, and can make them in any color.

Oh So Big!

I cannot believe how fast time flies... I was thinking to myself the other day about the few extra pounds I would like to lose, and that its ok that I even have them because I had a baby... and then I came to the realization that the excuse is no longer valid since it has been almost ten months now! I cannot believe how big Hailey is getting, and the fact that she is no a little girl and not my little baby anymore. But it is so fun to watch her grow! She is finally starting to crawl... a very small amount, but hey, that's the first step... she also likes to walk around if you hold her hands and pulls herself up on anything she can. She seems to really want to be on her feet now, so I don't think it will be too long before she starts walking!

This is one of the funniest things I've seen Hailey do. Our patio was crawling with lady bugs, so we decided to see what Hailey thought of them.
