Family Road Trip

This week we had the opportunity to go on our first ever family vacation! Blaine had a conference in Houston, so we decided to make a road trip out of it, and had a blast. 25 hours in the car and only a total of 4 days, but it was such a fun experience for our little family. Can't wait to do it again... minus the 25 hours in the car!! But I can't complain too much, the kids did awesome. No major melt downs, and they had so much fun. Here is a glimpse at some of our activities...

Hailey really wanted to take a picture with a little palm tree

Children's Museum of Houston

Playing cashier

Making spin art

Playing in the water

Having fun with science!

She loves being a waitress!

Caleb sat and played in the ball pit for almost an hour... this kid loves balls!

Our little artist

Hailey being a vet

Practicing her paramedic skills

Face painting

Hanging out at the hotel... these kids loved staying there!

Gator Pond in Lake Charles, Louisiana

Made a pit stop on the way home at the beach!

March-May 2014

So remember how I am really good at keeping this thing updated? Yeah. Oh well. I can't be good at everything ;) Here is a little of this and that from the past two months... we did get to spend a few weeks in Utah and Idaho, but I only have a few pictures of that time, since most pictures were taken on my mom's camera. And I was too lazy while there to transfer them. So this is what you get. For now...

From a few months ago... in their Sunday best!

Couldn't wait for a nap, so we improvised :)

Riding the train at the Dallas airport... this killed about 2 hours of our layover, thank goodness!

Painting nails with Aunt Jamie and cousin Gracie

Hard at work in Grandpa's office

Love this :)

Sneaking a treat in at Grandma Higgins' house... he LOVED whip cream!

Keeping ourselves entertained on the drive to Utah

9 month check up

This is one of his favorite things to do now that he is mobile. He loves to sit at the baby gate and beg to get through, or just swing the door open and closed as hard as he can.

Loving dinner time

Caleb LOVES the swings, and Hailey loves to push him!

Caleb LOVES this car! He chases it down, picks it up, then laughs hysterically at it!

This is how meal times usually go in our house!
